Cohabitation documents for PBS dependant ILR

Post by bhm123 » Tue Mar 18, 2014 9:20 am

Hello experts,

I am applying for ILR using SET(O) under PBS dependant category. My husband got his ILR in Nov last year.

For cohabitation I am submitting below documents

1. HSBC Joint account statements over last 2 years both names
2. Rent agreements for last 2 years both names
3. Council tax certificates both names
4. Joint Motor insurance policy documents over last 2 years
5. Payslips in interval of 3 months for both of us sent by respective employer on the same address
6. Marriage certificate (I understand this is not actually a cohabitation proof)

Is that sufficient? Please suggest. I have appointment in Croydon in 3 days. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

I think these should be fine. I have used almost exactly the same set of documents with my application for ILR yesterday and it was successful. I think you only need 6 letters if they are in both person's names. In my opinion, a bank statement is only for one month so if you have attached the statements for last 2 years, that alone makes it 24 letters as each bank statement should be treated as a letter. So you should be ok

Hi,
Can you please also let me know if dependants who were tier1 general dependant before have to use SET(O) form to apply for ILR dependants? I got my ILR and my husband needs to apply as ILR dependant

Please can you let me know if we have to use SET(O) or FLR(M)

Thanks

@Swethag - If your husband has ever extended stay using FLR(M) then he should use SET(M) for ILR.
If his current visa is a PBS Dependent (or Extension) then SET(O).

How to apply
Complete application form SET(O) unless you’ve extended your permission using form FLR(M) - if you have you should apply using form SET(M).

Hope this helps.
