Dear Seniors ( Vinny & Amber)

I have been granted ILR on the Long residence basis today. however i need your serious advise on the scenario below re my family.

My wife and two kids are tier 2 dependent and have valid leave till april 2016.

Due to the announced changed my wife has sat in a A1 Level English exam and have passed . I want to book a PEO Appointment and apply for her FLR (M) prior to changes on 06th april however my question is, Can i apply for SET (M) Directly for my kids as they are 6 and 7 years of age respectively ?

Where were the children born?

The children can apply at the point when both parents are settling/settled.

Hi Amber. Got the FLR M yesterday for everyone yesterday at Sheffield. However they said I could have applied for kids ILR using SET F as they entered Uk prior toJuly 12. Any thoughts ?

When both parents are settled/applying to settle, SET(F) is fine. Which is what I wrote below.

Thank you. Does that mean I can apply for kids ILR while mrs on FLRM. ( it may take her couple of months to pass Life in the Uk) hence I want to apply kids ILR . Also can I register them as British as soon as they get the ILR. Thank you Amber

I would say ILR when your wife is/is applying to settle. Where were the children born?

Kinds were born in India. Outside UK . My worry is the rule changing on 06th of April, Hence i want to apply for their ILR.
