I have been in the uk since oct 2009 on tier 2 visa. Initially the visa was for 1 yr after which it was extended by my then employer. My employer decided to put me on a relief job with very little job probably once or twice in a month. He decided to pay me direct explaining that I have to register and pay my own taxes. I also worked for other companies on self employment basis and 9 months later got another job with my new employer. I paid all the taxes when I worked as self employed. My problem is would I be able to satisfy the 5 yr p60 requirement using the tax assessment as part it it within the 9 month period. I have been given another three yrs as an extension with my new employer which runs until 2017. My other question is is it possible to wait till I have accumulated 5 yrs with the new employer before applying using the payslips from the new employer.
Pls help. I am confused. Thanks
