Set O, section 6, 6.1- help needed

6.1- when did u first enter UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based?
# i came here on 22sept,2004.
Tier 1 general application made on 28th march, 2009.
Visa granted -14th may, 2009.
I need some clear guidance about which date to input as i am making application for ILR under 5years on tier 1 general.
Any help is much appreciated.
