Dear friends,
My wife has a Bsc degree from a University in West Africa but she has not schooled in the UK. Would she have to do the ESOL Test in order to apply as my dependent of ILR? Thanks

Check if that degree is in PBC calculator.

If yes and it is equivalent to British Bachelors then you are fine.

It doesnt say anywhere like if your degree on PBS calculator then you dont need to show ESOL. Please reconfirm this with senior members or homeoffice.

Do some reading before you start jumping.
You don't need to have ESOL if you have minimum British Bachelor's equivalent degree that was taught in English.
You’ll need to prove your degree was both:
1. taught or researched in English
2. confirmed by UK NARIC as the equivalent of a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree in the UK
You’ll need to provide your original degree certificate and 1 of the following:
1. a printout from the points-based calculator with the equivalent level of your degree and the level of English
2. an original letter or certificate from UK NARIC confirming the equivalent level of your degree, plus an official letter from your university with your name and degree confirming that your degree was taught in English
3. an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (excepting Canada)
