Hi Colleagues,

I am applying for ILR in June as Tier 1 migrant, I entered the UK on June 05, 2009 and remained unemployed for near up to 8 months. Got Job in January 2010 and since then employed with the same employer for more than four years. Would this initial 7/8 months unemployment affect my ILR? I successfully extended my tier 1 in 2012 and now have enough points required under PBS calculator. Also, during employment i was absent for around 76 days ( continuous)away in year 1 due to some family engagements back home.

It is not a problem for you.
You need to show last 12 months employment history when you go for ILR.

I was unemployed in my 1st year(2009) very similar to yours, applied for ILR 3 weeks back and got it.
don't worry it shouldn't be a problem.
