Hello,
My wife's visa (PBS dependent visa) is expiry on 1st week of May, but I am not able to apply for her ILR before third week of May as we are not getting any slot for 'Life in UK' exam before it.
Is it fine and can she stay in UK for two weeks after visa expiry ? Please advice
Thanks
Lin

No it's not fine. She should extend or apply by post and explain you will send LIUK certificate ASAP.

Thanks Amber for your reply.
In this case, will UK BA reject her ILR application (if we appear in-person mode two weeks after expiry ) and overstaying will effect her further application from out of country ?
Thanks
Lin

Overstaying of < 28 days is ignored for the purpose of applications. However, you'd be very silly to take unnecessary risks and lose appeal rights. Applying by post before leave expires is perhaps most sensible.
