My name is R.Khan. I came on TIER 1 General PBS on 5th of June 2009. I got an entry clearance on 27/01/2009, but due to the birth of my child I came after 90 days. My five years will be completed from my entry date i.e. 4 of June 2014. I will apply 28 days before on 8th May 2014 with three dependents. My question is that when I came I left the UK on 26/6/2009 and returned after brought my family on 8/10/2009. When I left I did not have any job. Please advice me do I need to provide any documented proof. My understanding is that the documented proof required only for all the absences and trips related to job.
I had positive answer at this forum about two weeks.

Please reply as someone made a serious confusion that I do not qualify for the 5 years as I do not spent full five year from my Visa Issue date. Also further confirm that the above calculation is ok as I BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT for 8th of May at Glasgow

when does your visa expire and complete 5 yrs? You need to provide doc evidence of absence

I came on 5th of June 2005 on Tier 1, I have booked my appointment on 8th of May at Glasgow with three dependants. Is this the right date? My visa is valid up to 9th of May 2014. Initial Visa granted on 27 January 2009. Some one disturb me that I did not complete my qualifying period of 5 years which is very disturbing. I want clarification to safe other applicants from such kind of people.

So, Simply I am on the right track and can proceed accordingly? Also I calculated 5 years as 4 June 2014 as cut off period and calculated 28 days back for 8th May as application date.

From Thursday, 5 June 2014
Subtracted 28 days

Result: Thursday, 8 May 2014

I applied for ILR on 10/4/14 with 2 sets of unpaid absence similar to yours and didn't have a job at that time.
I gave a personal letter explaining the reason for my travel, but to be honest I don't think you need to give any
letters.

if you search this forum there are lot of people who have got ILR with unpaid holidays and without giving any evidence.
