A. The continuous period is counted backwards from the date of application
for ILR.

Hi respectable Guys
Another confusion, but I am positive that I will get the clear and precise answer.

How should I calculate my five years as per guideline below, does it apply in my case
I entered on 5th June 2009 on TIER 1 General PBS and my visa valid up to 9th May 2014.Visa granted on 27 Jan 2009. Please help, I know that I am a bit confused guy as I have booked my appointment on 8th May 2014

Example: Application date 11 November 2012

Year 1 11 November 2012 to 12 November 2011

Year 2 11 November 2011 to 12 November 2010

Year 3 11 November 2010 to 12 November 2009

Year 4 11 November 2009 to 12 November 2008

Year 5 11 November 2008 to 12 November 2007

why do you want to confuse yourselves? its easy

Your 5year starts from 5th June 2009, so you will complete 5 years on 4th June 2014.(If you have no breaks)

you can apply for ILR 28days before 4th June 2014, that is from 6th may 2014 onwards
