Hi,
I have an ILR issued on 14/02/2013. I have also applied for Citizenship by naturalization 2 weeks ago. I currently have an indian passport.
My wife (mother of my child) is on Tier 1 Visa and it expires on 2/1/2015. She is currently in India and carries indian passport.
My son was born in India on 29/01/2014 and has Indian Passport.
My question is :--
1. Which visa catagory should we apply for my child ? family visitor short term or family visitor long term leading to settlement or touriest visa ?
A. If we apply for family visitor visa short term then he has to go back in 6 months or extend in the UK for 1001 GBP
B. If we apply for the family visitor visa long term leading to settlement then its around 2000 GBP and processing time is 4 weeks. Also this means my wife also has to be an ILR so that option is invalid i think
C. If we apply for touriest visa then also he has to go back to india in 6 months and can't extend visa in uk
D. Can we apply for ILR dependent for my wife and my child together in india ?
OR can i go for option 2 and when they are in country i can apply for british citizenship as dependent on me for my child as soon as my citizenship is granted ( do i have to wait until i get passport ?? ) and then when my wife completes 5 years in uk she can apply for ilr followed by citizenship on her own or goes dependent on me as citizen ?
Pls. respond as i am confused and want to see my family asap.
Regards,
CN
