Visa checking services - how much/littlecan they help?

Hi,

We are booked in to attend a visa checking service in Cardiff this week and have all our documentation ready.

Having previously attended a similar process at VFS in Jakarta, Indonesia, I am guessing it will be a case of taking my partner's biometric data, photocopying all relevant documentation and submission of documents.

The website states clearly that no immigration advice is offered, but are these agents able to say whether the documentation meets the required standard or would this be considered 'advice'?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I'm not aware of any visa checking being required for ILR - who is this organisation?

There is, of course, a Settlement Checking Service for SET(M) only. This is a government service at a local authority register office

They will tell you if the documents are satisfactory and they will take copies so you can keep the originals. They also have a direct line to a HO caseworker for any issues.

Apologies - I wrote that in a rush and should most certainly have written 'Settlement checking service' rather than visa.

I'm assuming they take all necessary photocopies and we don't have to provide them to eliminate the possibility of any discrepancies?

Thanks again
