Dear Forum ,

First of all I would like to thank all active and supporting members . You guys are doing tremendous efforts to help community .

My partner , She was granted DLR in June 2010 till May 2011 for 11 months . we had applied for extension in May 2011 and she was granted three years until June 2014 . We have applied again in June 2014 for extension and DLR granted again for three years .

Her continues six year period will be complete in June 2016. Please let me know if first 11 month DLR will be count towards six year ILR rule. And after ILR for how long she has to wait for naturalization .

Best Regards,

LocalPhone

Only those granted DL for 6 months following criminal conviction or refusal of Humanitarian protection, will be subject to 10 years wait.

I don't agree with this answer as this DL was granted in 2010 and at that time this 10 year rule was not around .

The consequence of my answer is that the person that receive a DLR of 11 months will be able to add it towards the 6 year.

You don't seem to understand my answer well.

I am agreeing that your partner will qualify.

If the spouse is British, then as soon as ILR is granted, so far as the general requirements are met, including B1 English and LIUK.

Dear respected members,

My wife ILR is due today by completing six years via D/L route . She was issued BRP card . She doesn't have a passport or ID Card due to asylum reasons back in 2003 . She has no evidence or paperwork from the birth country . Can she still apply ILR

If they are able to grant successive DLRs without these things, then I would have thought that they may grant ILR in the same manner.

Thanks for your quick response . I was with solicitor this morning who has been handling this case through out D/L grant and extensions . He told us that it is now mandatory to have your country ID card or passport before you apply for extension or ILR application . I just want to find out is this documented anywhere on home office guidelines ? . Can they refuse application on the basis that person don't hold ID from his or her country.
