Hi

I recently got my ILR under Tier-1 General category after completing 5 year continuous residence.

Why does my BRP card has Valid until Date until 2024? What does this mean? Is this ILR valid only for 10 years?

Can someone clarify this for me please?

No, just the card itself.

Hi,

Your ILR will remain valid for immigration purposes. But as I read on UK Govt website, its imperative to have current ILR and passports for employment purposes so you'll need to transfer it to another BRP or passport then (as per the rules in 2024).
