Hello All,

The policy says:

Periods of grant
30.  We will grant leave in line with the expiry date of the PBS migrant’s (or main applicant’s) leave,
except where the PBS migrant has been granted indefinite leave to remain. In these cases, we
will grant you a period of three years leave. An application for further leave may then be made if
required to take you up to the applicable qualifying period for indefinite leave to remain.

Anyone has an experience of exception made to their dependents extension for making it a duration to cover 5 yrs for their ILR.

My dependent if granted another 3 yrs will be short of 4 months for completing 5 yrs and this should be costing a lot of money to extend and then apply for ILR.

Anyone has an experience of asking for exception in such kind of situation. Please share. Thank you.

My husbands situation is similar
We applied for an extension via Solihull PEO and chose over 3 years ( as he will also be 4 months short of 5 years if he only got 3 years) and paid the correct fee. The application was approved
Will keep you updated once we get the BRP which will state the expiry date

Received BRP which was only valid for 3 years tho we paid for over 3 years. Getting in touch with UKVI we expect a refund of £601 if the maximum they can grant is 3 years. You would think the case worker would have mentioned it at the PEO! Gosh!

Well well, they have targeted a sum of money and they will achieve it.

Anyway,

Wondering if anyone could share a list of documents needed from a contractor for extending the Tier 1 G Dependent Visa??

Thank you.

How are you calculating the 5 years continuous period for the dependent? I have just confirmed with UKVI that even PBS dependent's are allowed to use the 90 days buffer period to cover the gap between visa start date and actual entry date.
