expired IELTS for english test in ILR

Hi all,
I have an expired IELTS certificate from 2012 . Can i use this as proof for english language requirement for ILR, will the expired certificate be accepted as the english listening and speaking skills still apply. Any body have any past experience or used expired certificate successully.

If it was up to at least B1 standards and was used as part of a previous successful application, then it may be acceptable, subject to 32D and 2.2(b).

Hi I am still bit confused on 32D

As above I used IELTS on my marriage visa two years ago and my IELTS has expired since then however my spouse visa application was successful. Now can I use the same IELTS certificate?

I asked the same question with no response. I am going to apply for ILR based on Tier 1 G and I am going to use the IELTS that used in my initial application.

Vinny said that it may be acceptable. You mean it may not be accepted? The rules are clear but the guidance is not at all.

If they think that you used deception in acquiring the English Language test result, then they won't accept it.

The rules take precedence over the guidance.

For ILR applications, see 2.2(b).
