Hello Sir,
I need advise on debt issues Sirs,
my father visit UK on a Tuorist visa but had a stroke I UK and was taken hospital via ambulance. Now he is gone back to Nigeria letter hospital bill of £35000.
The issue now is the hospital is written to me directly and
served me with court letter but so am not the one owing them.
Please what can I do to stop this against me as I know it may have impact on my 10years route

You haven't provided sufficient information. Sight of documents would also be needed.

Who sponsored your fathers tourist visa?
Was your name referred to in his tourist visa application?
Did your father take travel insurance?

If your respone is You, Yes and No; then your are liable to pay the hospital bill.

I reply on assumption that you were the sponsor as they have written to you directly and through court.

If yes then you should pay and you should pay if you don't want to risk your 10 year route.You need 100's of papers to win your ILR and HO need just 1 paper/reason to refuse. Rest is your wisdom and choice.

If your were not sponsoring, your father visa then he should pay simple.

Thank everyone for your response, I really appreciate each of them.
I invited him but clearly written in the invitation letter that he was responsible to sponsor his trip. I only provided accomodation for him.
I did not provide my bank statement for any support. What I provided was a copy of my visa, tenancy agreement and invitation letter which stated that I was only accommodating him

How many days was he admitted. £35 grand appears huge. Just out of curiosity.
