It is Home Office or UKVI and not VFS. A VFS office is ONLY for applications submitted overseas.

Did he applied for ILR as salaried or self employed? Or was he director of limited company?

IF UKVI has called him for interview, how to do you expect the forum to know what questions will UKVI ask him?
I don't think there's a clairvoyant amongst the forum members to find all that for him.

What does he think they will ask him about?
His identity, immigration history, his employment and self-employment activities, his income, his taxes!

Why do people get scared when called for an interview by UKVI .... ? :?

Waooo thats a good news for all of us but I cant find any information on internet that PM dissolved UKBA. So we dont have to apply for visa anymore to come to UK?

Can my cousins apply for British passport as well since there is no visa system.

Well a passport is not a visa so that is doubtful.

And UK does not entertain chain migration. It's lack of such understanding that can bring someone's migration journey to a screeching halt.

More seriously, it's the ability to pay attention to detail that the outcome of interviews such as these may well depend upon.

The devil is (nearly always) in the detail and the HO plays hardball - whether or not this is a random, routine call for interview or because HO has some suspicions around a particular case &/or a particular type of application.

It appears that Google failed you! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-21941395

The UKBA is now the UKVI = United Kingdom Visas and Immigration....and still under the Home Office.

If returns were not filed on time then it is more doubtful but if returns were filed and amended then it would be a different case.

I think interview is a great oppertunity for us to defend ourself. It is good that they have not refused application on doubts they have on our applications. I have seen many people here got refused even after all amendments

Amendments are refusal in eyes of ukba. This interview i dont think will make any difference.

If you have a geniune reason and convince them I think there won't be a problem. If it was a refusal then why they are calling for an interview. Your friend may not have been able convince them

Had a chat with someone who went for interview recently.

He said the questions were mostly around his business activities. Few questions were around taxation. If you know your business practices well which one should, he/she should be fine.

If someone earns 30K in 4 months and do nothing rest of the year he/she can expect an interview call.

Anyone who had taken TOEIC exam in the past, irrespective of whether the result was used in an immigration application or not, may also be asked to attend an interview.
