hi members,
My wife and child has joined in me UK on settlement visas. They will apply for ILR after 5 years. Could you please tell me that how many days they can live outside of UK in each year (in these 5 years), and their eligibility for ILR will not be effected.
thanks in advance

There is no specified limit but reasonable time outside of the UK is acceptable...holidays, compassionate reasons etc. Only periods of absence over 6 months need to be declared. However, for British citizenship there should be no more than 90 days absence in the 12 month period prior to submitting the BC application.

thanks for the reply. actually I read somewhere, that there is some number of days in 5 years as well, which you should not exceed, for Citizenship and ILR . So according to that information, which I don't remember the source actually, I wanted to be sure this time. So could you please give me any source/ref?
thanks in advance
