Hi everyone,
This might sound extremely stupid for which I'm sorry, but i got my indefinite Leave to Remain back in 2008,after being married for a British citizen for 2 years. The following year my country Bulgaria became full member of the EU, so I no longer needed visa to enter the country. My passport (with the ILR in it) expired so i went ahead and renewed it, but I wasnt allowed to keep my old document so it was destroyed along with my remain. My question is now does this mean i've lost my remain for good or theres a way to be replaced or i have to apply for ILR all over again?(at the moment theres no need for it,but with the brexit I am going to need it eventually)?
Any information would be much appreciated, thank you! :)

You should apply for NTL (see also 29) before your records are deleted.

Is it possible for HO to destroy the records? Oh sorry thank you for writing! Wouldnt ntl require the ILR itself?

Unfortunately for me I can't apply for ntl, because im an EEA national. I guess i will have to wait for now! But really thank you its good to know that its somewhat retrievable.

Alternatively, apply for confirmation of PR.
