Status of family applying later than main applicant for ILR

Hi,

Can anyone please guide on the following situation:

Which visa catergory the spouse and children will apply under if a Tier 2 General main applicant and all his family qualifies for ILR visa but initially just the main applicant applies with the plan to apply for the spouse and children later. Will they be considered dependants of Tier 2 visa holder or dependants of person who has ILR?

If they are going to be considered dependants of someone with ILR then would that put them at any disadvantage?

Thank you

thank you vinny, followed the links. it seems they shall be ok to apply later as well and shall be counted as dependants of Tier 2 holder who has acquired settlement status.

as the application fees are so high and now the dependants do not get to pay a lower fee for applying at the same time many consider applying later to distribute the cost specially if they dont have any plans to travel overseas.

So it will be SET (O) application form for them in that scenario please?

Thank you
