Hello,

I am sharing my case to see if someone also had similar experience or awaiting decision from HO.

Went for PEO on 26th July.

For dependent English I submitted Post Graduate diploma certificate from UK university which is acceptable as per the KOLL latest guidance and my consultant was also confident then it should be fine to support the requirement. However case worker called me and asked me to provide bachelors or masters degree certificate for the dependent and issued a letter.

We sent the degree certificate with Naric AQLS and ELP statement and home office received documents on 3rd Aug.

On the issued letter they only asked us to provide this additional document within 14 days but did not gave any timeline on by when the decision will be made.

My question now is should we wait for HO reply now or do they reply within certain days? Both my job and my wife's job at risk as HR is asking for document from home office but home office didn't provide us letter stating we can continue work untill the decision is made.

I tried to call HO to find out the status but they said they are unable to tell the status of PEO appointments, I also tried to ask my OISC consultant to call the HO and find out the status but he said he can't call until 3 weeks.

Please share if you have any similar exp.

The application will now be in the postal queue, probably dealt with quicker than normal postal applications though.

PGD as far as I am aware is not accepted. It has to be a degree not a diploma.

Thanks for your reply.

I was following the my OISC consultant who now I don't think was very upto date with the home office guidance and def guided me incorrectly. However, now I have submitted the requested document and now awaiting decision.

Hoping to receive a quick reply from HO.

There are 3 levels of OISC advisors. They are not lawyers. Level 1 OISC is a one day course for example.

I agree he is a level 1 consultant.

Prior to application he made alot of promise that he is authorized to speak to case worker directly and now saying he can't call them and have to wait 3 weeks.

For others I would recommend go with proper solicitor as OISC consultants are use less and charge you only to fill your form.

Many OISC registered Immigration Advisors can deliver an excellent service to the same standard as solicitors. However, as CR001 has already pointed out, a qualification gained on a one day course is unlikely to result in the necessary level of experience and knowledge.

Thanks Casa..!!

Do you know if I can still switch my OISC consultant to someone who is authorised to speak to case worker ? Or what you would suggest for my case?

This immigration board is very helpful - I wish I would have found it earlier.

As per my understanding, noone is authorised to speak to caseworkers like that; there is no special advisor hotline for such third parties.
