PEO Sheffield - Variation from Tier 1 Ent to Set LR

Dear Friends,

I want to share my recent experience for Set LR. I varied my Tier 1 Ent application to Set LR @ Sheffield PEO.

Appointment time was 11am, however reached bit early and ticket issued at 10:20, biometrics enrolled at 12:05. At 2:30 my ticket was called by the case worker. He explained that my application qualifies & I have provided the relevant information. It's a shame that he doesn't have my original passport or else he would have made the same day decision.

He further confirmed that he had requested my passport to be sent to him which can take up to 3 working days. Once he gets hold of my original passports, he will be able to conclude my case and send everything to my home address. He advised to wait for 10-14 days.

He also issued me the standard letter stating "I acknowledge the safe receipt of your application and your application is valid" etc.

Should you guys have further questions, please fire away !

1. Application Form SET(LR)
2. 2 x Passport Sized Photographs
3. Life in the UK Pass Notification letter
4. Current and previous Passports (Copies)
5. Previous Biometrics Residence Permits (Copies)
6. MBA Certificate and Transcripts (Copies)

They had all my original documents from the previous application.

Thank you bro. I just hope they do not take forever and reply me within 2 weeks time so I can proceed with the dependents application.

It should not take forever, Singh case is recent example which was decided sort of in couple of weeks.

Singh21 received his reply in 13 days. His case was slightly complicated than mine.

Hopefully positive result
My friend varied FLR FP to SET LR and approval letter came 3 days later.

My questions.
1. Were you given any questionnaire? Any questions about Business etc?
2. What process to get the fee of Tier 1 Ent Etx refunded and IHS refund, how long will it take if at all refunded?
3.Did the Case worker asked anything about the dependant application as you have varied did the dependant application goes to hold automatically?

1. No questionnaire was given as it was my Tier 1 Ent initial application. Further, I do not have any adverse history. (5 years student, 2 years psw, 3 years work permit. Unfortunately my Tier 2 sponsor was revoked and I was short by 3 months.
2. I was told it can take up to 90 days but normally happens after 14 days.
3. He advised that he cannot confirm anything on the dependents application as it's currently with the other case worker. He simply said that he will post their documents back to my home address.

In relation to the above, I believe he is going to cancel the whole application for my dependents and I will have to reapply their further leave within 28 days.

Dear friend,

No refunds received yet.

Still waiting for the decision on my Set LR application. They will cancel the dependents application once they make the decision on my case. I cannot even vary my dependents application to flr m as my wife doesn't has the A1 language test yet. I will have to submit a valid application for the dependent within 28 days and 11 days have already passed :/

I was told that the decision can take up to 2 weeks.

Well I thought the same and called them after 15 days.

You would probably know that the call center is good for nothing, did not get any help at all.

I will write to them on Monday.

Any other suggestions ? Don know what else to do :/

I don't know their email address (it might be on their website). either that or write directly (by post) to caseworker/PEO office where you applied for ILR.

Best of luck

Varied to Set LR, waiting for decision, next step ?

Dear Moderators / Seniors,

I varied my application to Set LR on 24 Aug 2016 through PEO Sheffield. I was told by the caseworker that "everything seems fine, you do qualify for the Set LR & have provided the relevant information. It's a shame that I don't have your original passports. He also confirmed that he had requested my passports which should arrive in 3 working days. Furthermore, he said once he receives the passport he will then take 7 days and conclude the case which I should expect by 02-Sep". My third week is nearly finishing and I have not heard from them yet.

What am I supposed to do ? Any advise or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

I understand that my dependents application stands withdrawn on 24 Aug, the day I varied my application. However, no documents, refunds or correspondence has been received so far. I now have less than 2 weeks to file her flr o or flr fp application but I'm confused which one to go for. I personally feel flr o (with a covering letter)is a safer bet stating my current situation.

Should you require further details, about family & private life, immigration history or ties to the UK to substantiate which route to go for please advise.

Thanking you in anticipation.
