How to Return Old BRP to HO ? - ILR Granted

Hi All
I had applied for ILR on 13th Feb at Solihull PEO and was refused the same day and handed back my passports (dependent applied on the same time for ILR) along with the old BRP cards (T1 G Extension) since we had valid leave to remain until 04 March 2016.
Down the road I was granted ILR via the JR route on 23 Sep 2016 and I am now in possession of the new ILR BRP cards.
My question is,
How do I return my old BRP cards back to the HO, which normally they keep themselves at the PEO when the application is granted the same day. In my case they were returned to myself. (2 BRP cards, one for myself + dependent which was for T1 G extension)
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
