Hello

A friend of mine applied for ilr after being on a spouse visa for 5 years, she submitted the application by post and paid the fee of £1800. The application was submitted 2 months ago and no answer has come yet

Now she needs to travel in emergency in 10 days time

Can she cancel her application and apply using the one day premium service

If she cancels the postal application how long does it take to receive her passport back and will she get a refund for the first application fee

Who do we contact for to cancel the application

Please help !!!

If she cancels her application, she loses her fee. If her visa has already expired, she will be an overstayer and will then have to start from scratch again.

She has to apply to upgrade to premium service but HO doesn't always grant permission and it takes more than 10 days.
