can I apply ILR for my children

two kids,
one is 7 now ,born before parents gained ILR, applied British citizenship via MN1 successfully when he was 1, but didnt apply British passport.
one is 5 now, born after parents gained ILR, did not apply British passport either.
Parents: Dad now is british passport holder. mum applied british citizenship successfully 4 years ago, but not british passport holder ( didnt apply british passport, still using chinese passport to travel abroad)
2 years ago, mum decided to apply chinese passport for kids, and kids are now chinese passport holders.
with all the above info, Mum is wondering if she can apply ILR for kids using their chinese passport, so she can travel back to China with chinese passport, and come back uk with ILR on the passport.
your advice is very much appreciated
