My wife has British citizenship however she wants to give it up and gets back to ILR. She has been living in the UK, legally, for over 14 years. Can she apply for ILR right after giving up her British passport? She used the Long Residence route before in order to take up her ILR and subsequently British citizenship. Can she use it again to get back to ILR?

Nope - will have to start again from zero with no right to reside in the UK.....
