Hi, I have been trying to submit the Postal to Premium Upgrade form but no luck, I get acknowledgment but never receive anything or payment deduction. I am sending the completed word document, is this the right way or shall I print the form and fill it with a pen?

I did with word document and it was accepted same day on 8th of Feb.

i sent it around 08:10 in the morning

They replied with this:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your request for a premium upgrade for your application.
We can confirm that your application is provisionally eligible for an upgrade.
Your application is currently held elsewhere within the Home Office and your application has been requested today from the relevant team.
Upon receipt, we will review your application and if eligible we will process the payment and look to consider your application within 5 working days.
A decision on your application may take longer than 5 working days. This could happen if further enquiries are needed or additional documents are required.
Your application will be considered by the Liverpool Premium Service Centre. If you have chosen to attend in person, then this will be at the Liverpool Premium Service Centre. Once we have confirmed your application is eligible for an upgrade, we will advise you of the availability for an appointment at the Liverpool Premium Service Centre.
If your application is not eligible then we will notify you by email.
We are unable to respond to general enquiries or provide an update on the progress of your application.
We request you do not contact us whilst we are processing your application.

Today I received this email:

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your request for a premium upgrade to your application. We can confirm that a decision has now been made on your application. Your documents will be posted out to you via Special Delivery.

Eagerly waiting now, will get documents tomorrow.

By Grace of God, my application is approved, my experience with premium upgrade was very smooth and recommend it if you need visa in hurry.

i have been sending requests on the dot of 8:00am from last friday for the last 4 days!! always received auto-response about the acknowledgement... thats all.

Wondering how they choose the top 5 applicants and how I can get my request approved I sent scanned PDF file of the completed word documents inc. request + payment details.

what type of visa application is yours since yours were accepted so swiftly? my husband is applying via 10-yr residence route. SET (LR)

My application Tier 2 general 5 year route with one dependent.

Applied by post on 14 November 2016.
Biometrics recorded with in two weeks time on applying.


Then long wait, had to upgrade to premium as wait was killing me.

The last time i sent was yesterday, i have now given up and waiting for postal application

hope you hear from them soon. positive side is you are saving money. It will eventually come when six months are complete when did you post your application?

Posted my Set LR application 18-12-2016
Biometrics done in January 2017
Been trying to upgrade to premium since 05-February-2017
Finally on 09 March 2017 my request was accepted
Fee for premium upgrade deducted on 21 March 2017
Email about decision received today 23 March 2017..

If you are notified prior to 1pm then you will be able to track your documents the following day after 11am. If you have been notified of your decision after 1pm then your decision will not be despatched the same day and will be collected by our postal team the next working day.

By the Grace of Allah(swt) I have the golden letter of approval!! Stressed life for 10.5 years. Now got time to fully concentrate on my business. My previous leave was Tier 1 Entrepreneur

If I am not wrong Initially You applied through Set(O) - Tier 1 Ent 3+2 category and then asked for premium upgrade.

I have question for you as in future I will be on same situation.
I am Tier 1 Ent 3+2 and I am planning to apply in Jan 2018 and currently we can apply only through Postal.

1) Do you think If I apply in Jan and after biometric give, can i start checking with premium upgrade team for premium upgrade ? (I have plan for travel in March?)

No, I didn't apply for SET O, I applied just after the expiry of my Tier 1 (E) initial stay.
