Hello everyone,
Just want to clarify if I am still eligible to apply for ILR before my visa expires(May 2017).I arrived in UK on May 2012 through marriage visa got married on June 2012 and was granted a spouse visa on September 2013.Just want to double check as the rules keep changing and don't want to lose a big lump of money.If so what are the requirements apart from LIUK test and income threshold?Thank you in advance.

6 pieces of proof of joint address from 3 different sources spread as evenly as possible over the 2.5 year qualifying period If you don't have 6 in joint names you will need 12 in single names.

And English B1 test from an HO approved test provider. Note that ESOL is no longer on the list (as you posted about this in one of your other posts).

You must be under the pre 9 July 2012 rules, so yes you can apply when you meet the requirements.

I'm applying for ILR this month and been here in UK for 5 years on 10th May 2017.There's so much things going on like child's appoinments plus husband is still waiting for his 3 wage slips so can't send documents till 15th.Am I an overstayer as I'm already here for 5 years? Visa will expire on 18th May.Please clarify my query,thank you in advance.

If your leave expires on 18 May, then you are not an overstayer on 15 May.

Why haven't you applied for SET(M) at any time since March 2015? Adequate maintenance, etc., required.

Thanks for your reply.I didn't apply on March 2015 as I haven't got the LIUK test certificate that time plus my husband was confused if do I have to complete the 2.5 years on spouse or 5 years so just on a safe side we decided to wait for another 2.5 years.Now I have my LIUK test and documents we need so hope it's going to be fine.Thank you for understanding and answering all my queries.

You could have applied at any time since March 2015, after you satisfied the 2-year requirements. You didn't really need to wait until the last few days of your leave remaining.

I understand but LIUK test was holding me up as I wasn't confident enough to sit for an exam and my husband is the one who always wanna make sure that we done everything right ie application forms,rules and regulations so we decided to complete my 5 years stay then apply for ILR.I told him couple of months ago about to put his wage slips away as we need it for application but he misplaced it so we have to wait for his boss to print it for him luckily he did it today.

Great! Apply whenever you have all the documents. Preferably, before your leave expires.

Thanks for your reply.I have questions about:
1.)SELT unique electronic reference number provided by the awarding body?
I used IELTS certificate for my previous applications so do I just have to put my Candidate number or Candidate ID?
2.)My husband is claiming child benefits for our children with his name only but he doesn't have a statement to prove that it's been paid into his account and I couldn't find the letter from HM Revenue and Customs about child benefit.Any advice please.
