Hi Guru's,
I am eligible to apply for ILR now. I have been on Tier 2 since March 2012. Have had an extension and an employer change. My current tier 2 visa only expires in January 2018.

My wife is on a Tier 2 dependent visa expiring in January 2018.

Please can you clarify if my wife needs to apply with me as ILR dependent now? or can she continue on the Tier 2 dep visa unitl Jan 2018?

Thanks in advance

She can continue as a PBS Dependent until she meets the requirements for ILR.

Note that the absence limits for PBS dependents has recently changed. Any absence of 180 days or more breaks continuity of residence.

Absence of more than 180 days/6 months breaks continuity of residence. This is a recent change for PBS dependents.
