ILR Long Residence and Dependents

I would complete my 10 years in Oct 2017. My wife and two children joined me in Jan 2012 on PBS dependent when I was on PSW visa. Then I switched to Tier1 Enterp and then extended the same. My family has been my dependent throughout.

If I get my ILR on long residence, can my children apply for ILR after getting mine OR still then need to wait further 5 years.

Wait until a further 5 years with wife.

Children born abroad have the same immigration status as that of the less-privileged parent.

If you apply for ILR through Long Residence, your wife's (and consequently your children's) immigration clock will be reset to zero and they will need five further years of FLR(M) before applying for ILR.

When do you qualify for ILR based on Tier 1 E?

I would be able to apply in Oct 2017, so far me and my family have leave to remain until Jan 2019. My wife and two child may complete their 10 years in 2022. If everything goes fine; my family would require further three years after Jan 2019 to get ILR on their long residency. That's what I understand so far. OR otherwise I could wait until Jan 2019 to complete my Tier1 duration to qualify all family at once.

I think it may be better to wait and apply as a family in 2019, if you can.
