Hello all,
Here is the situation. Currently I am on UK Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visas (1st Stage - 3 years) and This is going to expire on 2nd December 2017. And on 14 February 2018, it will be 10 years for me in the UK. My plan is,

1. Apply for Tier 1 extension as usual and in the mean time prepare for ILR application and apply for that 20 days before 14 feb 2018.

2. I have my wife with me here since 2016. while doing my application. I have to apply for her as well. Tier 1 extension (dependent).

I need some valuable advise here. Anyone please let me know:

1. How can I vary my extension application while applying for ILR?

2. How can i apply for my wife as ILR dependent while there will be an existing application (Tier 1 extension dependant ) of her?

3. If i want to apply for ILR dependent while doing my ILR application, How can I link it to it?

Regards

if you apply for ILR under long residence your wife will have to switch to FLR(M) which will reset her immigration clock to zero, putting her on a new 5 years route to settlement (2.5 + 2.5 years).

In addition to the visa fee she will also have to pay the £500 IHS surcharge and pass the A2 level English test (unless she has a degree taught in English).

Hello Casa,
Thanks for your reply. To be honest I am bit confuse here. As I said my current visa is expiring on 2nd dec 17 and 14 feb 18, It will be 10 years for me.

So there is a small gap of 2 and half months. I need advise to cover this and same for my wife.
What are the steps I need to go through...?

Thanks

You only have the option of extending your existing visa for you and your dependent(s)
