UNPAID LEAVE- ILR Visa Tier 2 Route

Dear IB members and experts,

I am due for my ILR appointment in 2 weeks time and have a sticky situation.
I have been on Tier 2 general visa for past five years. However, I have been undergoing a part time MBA due to which I have overshot my leave allowances by ~ 21 days. the latest month salary slip mentions UNPAID LEAVE in deductions section.
In total I have not exceeded 180 days of stay outside UK. Including the unpaid leaves its 96 days in 5 years.

Question:
1. What does the guidance notes [Set (o)] advise in such circumstances? Is unpaid leave allowed?
2. should I get the Payslip description of 'Unpaid Leave' changed to 'other deduction's if that's an option?
3. What supporting documents would I need?

Thanks in Advance.

I don't know anything about tier2. But as an employer an employee working on her MBA is a good thing. So maybe a letter from employer showing support for ur MBA and how it makes you a better Manager can help

How does being a better manager stack up with visa application requirements?

I qualified I don't understand tier2 specifics. My point was that your employer is happy and supportive that you took unpaid leave, not for sitting on the beach but for bettering your management skills.

If you don't understand the rules of Tier 2 General, please refrain from commenting and causing confusion. Unpaid leave is unpaid leave, regardless of reason. These are specific rules for Tier 2 G.

As explained in that thread, the rules do not explicitly cover unpaid leave periods. The general rule is that any leave MUST be in line with the purpose of your visa with sponsor's consent and should not be for an extended period of time. So short periods of unpaid leave which are approved by your sponsor should not on their own affect your ILR.
