Hi All,

I have a British passport and my wife is a Pakistani national on 5 year route. She has already completed 2.5 years and have recently received another 2.5 year extension after which she will be able to apply for ILR.

Can someone please advice as to how many days of absence are allowed during the 5 year period ?

Any (current) links, resources will be highly appreciated.

Regards
Rocky

There is no absence limit for a spouse visa, however she must obviously be resident in the UK if she expects to get ILR. In the meantime, she is free to travel and go on holiday or visit family.

Hi CR001,

Does it mean that continuous absence of more than 180 days will not effect her eligibility of getting ILR ?
