Form FLR (DL) - Can this be used for Premium

HI All
I was granted twice DLR 1st - Aug 8th 2011 until 7th of August 2014 then the second DLR took longer and it is now valid up to march 2018 (instead of Aug 2017 as it would have been normal) -( I was a failed Asylum seeker and then granted through legacy Cases )
Can I therefore apply 28 days in advance of 8th of August 2017 since I complete 6 years or not ?
What is the correct form I can use ? If I use FLR(DL) I was told I cant use Premium Service but I need to send it via Post.
Also , my son was born here and it is on DLR at the moment - Can my son apply directly for citizenship (without applying for ILR) if I get granted ILR ?
Many Thanks for all your help !

Hi 2017Freedom,
I was granted discretionary leave for three year in 04-04-2011 after my asylum case was refusal. My second discretionary leave was granted in 10-09-2014.When I was applying for ILR (Indefinite leave to Remain), I called the Home Office ,they said, The time it took the Home Office to make a discussion on my application is counted toward the 6 years completing discretionary leave. And I need to use FLR(DL) form and should apply by post only. So I applied for ILR on 07-04-2017.It means ,exactly completing 6 years. Not even 28 days before. I paid £2297.I got my Biometric finger print invitation letter on 20-04-2017.I am still waiting for their decision on my application.
This is only for your information, It is a great platform to get information here.I am sure there are others in the same boat as I am ,will help you too.
Hope this help you.

That is very informative - Thank You
I was told that we could also go for Premium by using ILR Set (O) and that's why I'm in two minds whether to use the FLR DL or ILR Set 0
Good Luck with yours anyway !

Hi
Premium is a bit expensive but the best service you can get -
Once you apply online to reserve your slot , it will tell you what documents you need ,
Read the form 2-3 times to make sure you dont forget anything
Provide as many documents as you can including Bills , Payslips , other financials like pensions ,etc
Make a copy of all your bills and originals
this will speed up the process on the day
Try not to use plastic folder as it is time consuming for them but bundle them instead
Best of luck !
