Returning of original documents after refusal

Hello,
Today is 18th day after refusal of my 5 year route ILR. Can anyone please tell me how long it will take after 14th days to receive my original documents? I need to apply for my 10 year route ASAP.
My continuous period broken because of gap in the employment. My wife is here as PSB dependent for the last 4 years. She would have been eligible for her ILR in March 2018 if my 5 year route was successful.
I am aware that she has to start her 5 year journey from the time she gets her Family of a settled person visa.
Can she switch to some other category like Tier 2 General(or any other category) so she is eligible in March 2018?
Many thanks,

If your visa has already expired, you won't get your documents back.
If your tier 2 g is still valid, you can apply and write a letter with the reference numbers that your documents are with HO.
The same checks are done for long residence ILR, that you complied with all the relevant visa requirements.
Your spouse can apply for Tier 2 if she gets a sponsor and applies from home country, but this will still reset her clock. She will only qualify for ILR in 2018 if you got ILR as a tier 2 migrant.
There is not other route for her to qualify next year.

Yes, my Tier 2 is still valid till July. Should I wait till this week's end to see if I get it back? Is there a normal delay from HO to send documents back?

Does this mean that its going to affect my 10 year route as well?
They rejected on terms of employment gap of more than 60 days. It was 80 days. They proved it by asking my P45 at the time of ILR application.
Many thanks,

No. The 60 days rule only applies when applying under Tier 2 General.

Today is the 20 calendar days after my ILR 5 year route got refused(on 19th May). I still have valid visa(T2 G) for about over a month. Passport and biometric returned to me on the day it got rejected. But they still hold my other documents.
Does anyone know how long it will take me to get my documents back? I am thinking of going for 10 year route same day appointment. I just want to have a clean application so I get it on the same day(without them holding for further verifications). This will then give me enough time to apply for my dependents, knowing my outcome.
Will it take months? should I wait few more day or shall I just apply in next week without original documents? any advice please?
The missing documents are
Life in the UK.
My Degree certificates. (To prove english language and Placement requirement during student visa)
Bank Statements.
Many thanks,

Anyone have any experience with this. Still haven't got my documents. Called home office general contact number and they said that I have to write(mail) to the premium service centre Croydon.
It going to take lot of time if I do that. Very stressed out.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
