Hello Guys,

I would appreciate if somebody can confirm if my calculation is correct or not...

My date of issue on BRP card for Tier 2 General Visa is 17 Aug 2012 (I was in the UK when I applied as I moved over from Tier 1 Post Study Work visa)

So, I complete my 5 years in Tier 2 General Visa on 18 Aug 2017 (I am going one day over)

Hence, I can apply for ILR on and after 21 July 2017... Please can somebody confirm if this is correct or safe date (21 Jul 2017) for me to apply for ILR?

Thank you in advance!!

Your calculation is correct. After 5 years Continuous stay which started from 17th August 2012 and completed 17th August 2017 you can apply no more than 28 days before completing the qualification period. Hence you are allowed to apply from the 20th July 2017 according to the 28 day rule, but I will say safer to apply from the 21st July 2017.
