Dear All
Thank You for all your valuable help !
I'm planning to apply for ILR based on having 2 X DLR
The official 6 Years on DLR would be completed on August but I wondered if I can still apply 28 Days beofore ( My visa expires on March 2018 since HO Took a bit longer between DLR Renewals )
Many thanks

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days of reaching 6 years from date if first DLR granted.

CR001 Thank You as always !
Aaccording to your reply, I can apply 28 days before I complete 6 Years on DLR or should I wait to complete 6 Years - Mind you I still have a vlaid visa that expires March 2018 but this was caused by HO Delays.

Yes, within 28 days. It does not have to be exactly the 28th day.

No need to start a new topic with each question you have.
A BRP can take 7 to 10 days after approval. Also depends if you apply in person or by post.

HI CR001
I'm sorry to keep asking so many questions but Im planning to apply in person and since the first DLR was issued on the 8th of August 2011 according to your advice I become eligible to apply 28 days in advance so around 12 - 13 of July ,
My issue is that I have already booked a flight on 21st of July and I might not get the Brp on time if successful or if HO decides to keep the application longer can I postpone it on the day or do I lose the fee completely
Many thanks for your help,

If you do not attend your appointment, you lose the fee. If HO holds your application for further checks, you cannot do anything but wait.
If you attend your appointment and fly out of the UK without your BRP, you won't be able to re-enter or board a flight back without it. Some members get the BRP within a few days, yet others have waited more than a month.
How long are you away for?
I would strongly suggest you only apply then once you return to the UK as you will still have substantial validity on your current visa.

I will be away for 3 weeks but it does make sense to apply after I come back just to be on the safe side I guess
I just thought since I have got everything ready to give it a try but you are right we don't know how long HO might take even on premium
Thank you as always
