Main applicant now on ILR but dependents still on Tier 2

Hi All,

I have been granted ILR(previously on Tier 2 general). My family is still on Tier 2 dependent, their visa is expiring on 31st July but they will be eligible for ILR only on 1st week of September.

My questions are as below:

1) Can they apply for an extension on the same tier 2 dependent PBS category?
2) If yes, then can they apply only for 1 year extension as they will be eligible for ILR in September or do they have to apply for a minimum 2.5 years extension( but they will then have to more IHS surcharge)?
3) Do they need to maintain any minimum balance as a maintenance fund?, as I am now on ILR and no longer on Tier 2, therefore employer cannot certify maintenance requirements.

Regards,

Yes

They will be granted an extension for 3 years. You cannot choose a lesser amount of time.

Yes.
