How long can a ILR holder live outside UK?

I got my ILR two years ago, and don't intend to progress to a UK passport as my country does not recognise dual citizenship.
My husband has acceptable a job outside the UK, so we have moved overseas.
Please could someone help me to clarify is it half year /annually I have to spend in the UK or can stay outside the UK for no longer than 2 years consecutively?
