Any body out there to advise

Dear forum Members,
As any body out their who has varied their application from Entrepreneur Extension to ILR (Long residency) and still waiting for the last more than 9 months?? The people that I knew with the same circumstances have already got their decisions with in 3 to 4 months. I am very disappointed with this unlimited wait specially when my mother has been sick for a while and she is desperate to see me. Everyday we open up our eyes in the hope of getting this Visa be sorted out, check the post, online status few times a day but no post, no updates just disappointment, the same thing experienced by my parents when they see no hope.
I have done whatever I could do, wrote them a few letters, got my SAR to find out what is making it so late. In SAR every thing is there but nothing, no progress about my ILR, no hints, no case worker notes. Kept checking my application status from day one when they introduce the service, initially it was not recognising my case ID or HO reference, payment reference or any thing else but suddenly on 5th of june I saw " Awaiting the decision status", It look like they had opened my case in June some where. The MP says they will contact them with in 21 working days. Then I don't know when will HO respond back to them???? I am so discouraged How long it is going to take. Anybody have any Idea what should I do or what can I do more???? I don't want to be too late, want to see my parents desperately.

Unfortunately you cannot do much except to wait to hear back. You already started a thread on how get the MP involved and received responses.

Thanks Faysal , Malik and zimba for your responses, I have contacted MP more than 2 weeks but the telephone attendant says that it can take up to 21 working days for them to contact the H.O, although during this time I emailed them and also talked to them a few times and tried to understand my situation but still they haven't contacted them yet. The Home office wanted me to respond to their later as soon as possible if I want a prompt decision and I did the same, replied them the next day with special delivery service. Its almost 2 months ago but still nothing from them since.

What application have you been waiting for for 4 years also what application did the person who has being waiting for 12 years made? Looking forward to your response.

So you have being waiting for "4 years for an old application and you also know people who have being waiting for 12 years"! You case and that of the people you know must be different from ours. I think you should create your own time line so that you can motivate others like you. Your comment send are very discouraging and I believe no one here needs such negative comments in a time like this. Like I said desist from commenting your case on people post and please do create your own timeline so that more experience member can advice you on way forward.

For members posting in the forum, user MALIK336 has applied for Set(LR) in March 2017, not 4 years ago.

indefinite-leave-to-remain/long-residen ... l#p1498052

Also a complicated case and not sure if the user had legal residence for the whole 10 years as his posts don't say and he seems to post only for the sake of posting (single line sentences) to increase his post count perhaps.

Hello Legalkhan and other Members,
I have been a silent reader of this forum, but did not write any post before. I am in the same boat as you Legalkhan. I applied for Tier 1 Entrepreneur Extension in 1st week of May 2016 but did not get any decision. In beginning of Dec 2016 I became eligible for ILR long residence so I varied my application to SET LR. Since Dec 2016 I am waiting for decision on the SET LR application but no luck yet. I have tried to contact my MP as well. My MP responded to my 1st email in a weeks time and assured that she has written to Home Office about me. But since then its been about 1.5 months passed but my MP did not get back to me. I have written multiple emails to my MP for an update but did not receive any response from her yet. Its been very frustrating that nobody is willing to help us. Anyway I hope and pray that this bitter wait gets over soon for all of us.
Thanks

I recently went down the MP route for a different visa which was successful, the relevant bits are:
- MPs are not legally obligated to take your case forward, therefore it is important to be polite and patient
- They unfortunately cannot speed up decision making, if within the application timescales they are most likely to get the reply that it is being processed
