Hi Dear All,

I am going to apply for ILR on the basis of 10 years residency in uk. The problem is that I lost my old passport which I used for six years out of 10. I got my first visa in that passport as well. I got color photocopy of all pages of that passport though.

Can you please let me know it will be OK? or what should I do now?

Do you have any proof that you have lost the passport? Police report or letter from embassy that your passport was lost?

If you do not have the passport, you need to submit documentary evidence from the list in the Set(LR) form to prove your residency.

sorry I have not lost it. but when I renewed my passport , my expired passport was taking.

They must return the old one.

Please don't comment if you haven't read and understood what the OP has written. His expired passport was retained by the embassy when he renewed NOT by HO.
