Hello

My husband and I are applying for ILR end of August this year.
We entered UK in September 2009 on student visa then were on PSW when my husband got a job. His employer sponsored our tier 2 general visa an we got this in September 2012( applied within the UK).

So my query is with regards to question 6.1 of the SET O form: When did you first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry in the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.
Our application is based on the qualifying period from September 2012. So will it be this date as the answer or is it the actual date in 2009 when he first entered as a student?

As you are applying for IRL through Tier 2 route, it will be Sep 2012

I came in as a student before I got sponsorship under Tier 2. when I was completing my SET O form, I put the date when I first entered UK (which was 1 year 4 months before my first Tier 2 visa) as my date of entry and did not have any issue with my ILR.
