Apply ILR for dependents - 5 years period

HI

I got UK Tier 2 Shortage occupation visa in Oct 2014 (expires in Sept 2019), and would like to apply for ILR in future. My wife and daughter have arrived in Jan 2016 on dependent visa and their visa also expires in Sept 2019 as mine.

I would like to know if my wife and daughter can apply for ILR with me as dependents or do they need to apply for the extension of visa to complete the five years residence period?

If so what type of extension visa do I need to apply, Tier 2 or any other visa?

My son was born in UK, he is eligible for ILR to apply with me, or does he also need to complete 5 years of residence in the UK?

Please clarify my doubts with your expertise knowledge.

Thank you

Reddy

No they cannot apply with you. They both require 5 years residence before they can apply for ILR.

Tier 2 Dependent visa, which will be an extension for 3 years.

You can apply to register your son a British once you have ILR. Son does NOT need ILR for this.
