Using expired IELTS for ILR. Confused

I'm currently on a UK spouse visa (On 2nd part of 2.5 year visa) and need to apply for ILR early next year.

For my initial 2.5 year spouse visa I did the IELTS (General training) and got a overall band score of 8.0.
The exam was taken in Oct 2012 and I believe is valid for 2 years. I used these results for my 2.5 visa renewal without issue.

My query is with the new english language requirement changes can I still use these results for my ILR application, or do I need to redo the exam and get a SELT number. The certificate I have only has a test form report number.

If your Test provider/ centre is currently on the list of home office approved SELT centre than you can use the expired English certificate otherwise you will have to do it again from currently approved SELT centres only , and now they have IELTS Life Skills test specific for spouse LTR routes and I believe you would pass very easily if you have got already 8.0 score

Thanks, the test center is on the approved list so I think I should be ok and not have to redo the test.

Hi
I’m in a similar situation - did you apply and did your application get approved? Thank you
