ILR absences

Hello all,

I'm just preparing my documents. For one absence (annual leave) I flew out on a Sunday. I realise that this day doesn't appear on my employer's letter as annual leave as it was a non-working day. So, my annual leave is from the Monday onwards.

Does this matter? I have a letter confirming my working pattern as being Monday-Friday, if that helps?

Am I overthinking this?

Yes, you're overthinking. The day of departure and day of arrival back in the UK aren't counted as absence,

Thanks! I wasn't sure if they didn't count towards the 180 day allowance only or didn't count at all.

Better to overthink than make such a silly mistake...!

As always, thanks for the advice.

A couple of minor questions re document.

Does it need to be stamped? Or is the printed letterhead with contact details and line manager's live signature enough?

Secondly, due to space, the manager's details and signature appear on a separate page (I wasn't able to print the document double-sided). Is this alright?

Likely overthinking it again...!

Use a smaller font then and make your margins smaller to get it onto one page.

Not possible as the table of abssnce dates is too large.

What do you think? The line manager's post clearly corresponds with the department name and the University's logo appears at the bottom of the second page, so it's evident (to me at least) that it's not a random person who signed it...
