Hi
I have indefinite leave to remain but lost BRP card. I have business travel to Japan this Sunday for a week.
I haven't report to Home Office for in case of if I found BRP card and even if I applied for a replacement I don't think I would get it before my flight.
I have original letter from Home Office when I applied and received BRP card with my BRP unique number, would airline and UK boarder will accept those documents when I come back?
Should I report to Home Office about loss of BRP card immediately?
I appreciate for any advise, my flight is this Sunday and cannot be rescheduled...

Airline probably won't as a letter is easy to forge and print off yourself. Your letter probably also doesn't state ILR approved, but BRP delivery within x days.
You need the BRP to return.
Suggest search your workplace and home thoroughly, look in all your bags/backpackes/jackets etc.

I appreciate for reply.
What if I couldn't find it?
Would replacement BRP visa help me to come back?
I've never asked for BRP card when I fly from Japan to UK at check-in, idk it is because they have my info in system or my Japanese passport as non-visa nationals...

As a Japanese citizen, you can fly to the UK visa free (as a visitor). I suggest to report your BRP as lost and fly back to the UK after your trip and apply for a replacement

Hopefully I can fly normally from Japan...
Then I'll report home office my BRP as lost and apply for replacement after returning from Japan.
I'm now in confuse about replacement BRP visa...
Who and in what case should apply for it and why it doesn't help me in this case?

You can apply but it could take months to get a replacement

If you don't find it (look in between the sofa cushions etc), you must report it before you fly. You do not want to be admitted to the UK as a visitor with a visitor stamp for 6 months.
Do you have a photocopy of your BRP??

The report it before you travel. Keep a screen shot of what you are do when reporting it and the reference number.
Travel with this and your BRP photocopy so that when you re-enter the UK, you can explain to the IO etc and show evidence that you do have ILR and will be applying for a replacement BRP.

I will report the police and Home office my BRP as lost as soon as possible, but should I apply for replacement after I returned or before my flight to Japan?
I know I cannot apply for replacement BRP from aboard so would it cause any problems when I re-enter to the UK?

That makes sense.
I was wondered if I report Home Office my BRP as lost then it will be no longer in valid, then would IO can find that the evidence of ILR with photocopy of my non-valid BRP?
I'm sorry if my question bother you but I'm so nervous...
