ILR application - supporting documents for PBS Dependants

Hi,

A quick response to queries below is much appreciated.

I got my ILR in 2014 (5 year Tier 2 ICT route) and am now a British Citizen. My wife and daughter are on Tier 2 PBS dependant visas which are due to expire on 1-3-2018. They entered the UK on 09-08-2012 and are now eligible to apply for permanent residence. The plan is to make a postal application tomorrow.

Going through discussions in this forum, I understand that SET(O) form is to be used, main applicant being my wife and child as dependant.

We plan to supply the following list of documents:

1) Life in the UK pass certificate
2) Masters degree certificate
3) NARIC certificates for English and degree comparison
4) Marriage certificate
5) Daughter's birth certificate
6) Two years proof of cohabitation (different dates spanning last two years)
- Bank statements (Joint)
- Tenancy Agreement (Joint) with letter from letting agent that we were living at the property since 2010.
- Counil Tax Notice (me) for years 2016 & 2017
- Essex County Council (wife)
- Letter from Water authority
- Driving Licence (me & wife)
- Gas & Elec (me)
- Poll Cards (seperate me and wife)
- DVLA Medical Group letter (me)
- HMRC Self Assessment Repayment letter (me)
- payslips (wife)
- Broadband bill (me)
- NHS registration cards (issued in 2011 - me, wife & daugther)

7) 2 x BRP
8) 2 x Passports

Queries:

a) Are there any other documents that need to be supplied with the appplication?
b) SET(O), Section 5, page 18 mentions about SOC code. There is no code for her as such but is working a limited company setup by me. Do we need to fill in any data in this block?
c) Do I need to supply a copy of my British passport, bank statements, payslips, dividend vouchers?

Thanks.

James.

Hi

Not sure whether you have applied or not :)

your supporting docs list is fine though i don't think you need any income proof or payslips (pbs dependant ilr)

Regards

James- Congratulations on getting ILR for wife and daughter.

Your list is very exhaustive. Did they ask for all of these ?

Also is there any finance /minimum fund requirement for ILR dependant?

Did you submit your original passport as well? Or only copy of your passport?

Hi shrads123,

"Your list is very exhaustive. Did they ask for all of these ? "

I came up with this list based on information available on gov.uk related to SET(O) application for dependants and info from various posts on this website. I also got some guidance from a solicitor dealing with immigration. Can't take any chances when paying such huge application fees.

"Also is there any finance /minimum fund requirement for ILR dependant?"
I don't think there is any requirement like that. In my wife's case, she was working so a fixed amount was coming into her account every month. For my wife's application, I had provided my bank statements (actually joint account) for the last six month to highlight that she is dependant on me. The important thing is to show there is money in the pot for maintenance.

"Did you submit your original passport as well? Or only copy of your passport?"

Good question. They wanted my original passport. Luckily we had it with us on the day of application.

James

Hi James,

I am quite in a similar situation to yours

My wife working in my limited company and a shareholder as well. She gets a salary and dividends

Did you fill or submit any proofs particularly for below in the application form? Was there any questioning regarding her dividends and Self-assessment?

“Queries:

Thanks!

Hello James

Can you please confirm if you gave your own SOC code or your wife’s doc code for your wife’s ILR application?

Thanks
Ahmed

folks , 5.6 clear mentions this is applicable to Tier 2 migrants/WP and employer will provide these details .
5.6 You must complete all 5 boxes below if you are applying as a work permit holder, a Tier 2
(General), Tier 2 (Sports Person) or a Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) migrant (your employer will
be able to provide you with these details).
It is not required for dependant applications .
