Tier 2 dependent to ILR dependent

Hi
I am under Tier 2 and will not qualify for ILR when my husband gets ILR. Should I apply for an extension of the TIER 2 Visa to stay in the UK until I am eligible for ILR?
But will I need my husbands COS when I am applying for extension in case he change job after he gets ILR?
Is it the normal PBS dependat form that I need to fill in?
