ILR ( is my 2 years old son eligible or not ?)

Hi dear moderators and members
I have an enquiry concerning the ILR for my son.
He was born outside the UK and he came over the UK when he was one year old
His father was on his ILR when my son was born, so he came to the Uk on “child settlement visa dependent of someone who is already settled in the UK “ i mean his father.
(His father applied for citizenship over a year ago but he hasn’t heard anything yet)
My son’s visa will expire in 24/10/2019
And i was wondering if i can apply for the ILR for him or he has to go through the same process as me !? I mean he has to wait untill the renewal of this visa and then he gets another 30 months after that he will be automatically eligible for the ILR ??
Anyone went through the same situation ?
Thank you for reading me 🤗

Your son will follow the same immigration route to settlement as you.
