You cannot apply or vary to ILR if you do not submit LIUK.

Have you checked if you can get ur passport back for that singular purpose? I think that's possible.

Hi,
Home office won't be able to return passport for that purpose.
I am in such a dilemma
Any suggestion guys, is there any other way to book link test without any photo id.. ukvi acknowledgment letter might not help me I guess
Hope to hear any kind of solutions. Or else do I need to wait for the outcome of the application after 10 yrs
Suggestions would be appreciated
Regards

You should have planned this before as Life in the UK pass certificate never expires.
You need to wait for your application to conclude in your case.
Please note that if your current application is refused, your passport will be kept by HO.

ilr 10 year dilemma

hi all,
i would like to explain my complex situation,

i am in the uk for almost 10 yrs with my dependent but
she came 6 months later after me in the uk , i have got my
application still pending in the ukvi, and 10 years is approaching near.
i have heard we need to have life in the uk test
for the application of long residence(ILR)
but, the problem is , i dont have any form
of identification nor i have any license to appear
the liuk test,
how can i apply ilr based on 10 year long residency without
liuk,as i am not able to apply ilr
therefore, i have certain question:i.e:

1. should i apply leave to remain (flr)after 10 years or should i wait for my decision

2. if i apply flr, does my clock reset to 0.

3. is there any exceptions to appear for liuk, without identification,

4. home office do not transfer the passport in the test centre.nor i can withdraw my application.

5, what if my decision is rejected but in the meanwhile i have got the 10 year advantage to apply ilr.

please gurus, help me with the suggestions.

For Life in the UK test, you can request your passport using online form without withdrawing your application. My application was in progress and wanted to vary it to ILR but did not have any valid photo ID. Requested my passports and it was delivered within 4 days. I passed my test and returned passports to HO. They usually ask you to return the passport to HO within 28 days.
